(Didn't quite get the last posting right) I think anything that implements QMainWindow in a QPEApplication automatically gets maximized and hence works with the soft input methods being shown. A dialog window must be manually maximized to automatically handle the soft input methods being shown. Use showMaximized() in the dialog constructor or wherever it appropriate in your program.
