Showing icons in the taskbar

I don't see much traffic on this list; is that because there's no one who wants to talk about Zaurus development, or just that everyone's waiting for someone else to start a thread? So I'll try. I have something that's been driving me crazy in a couple of little Zaurus apps I have: when I run my apps (which have icons that show up in the qpe Applications or Jeode tab), no icon for the app shows up in the taskbar. So if I context-switch to some other app, there's no way to tell Qtopia go back to my app. No other program I run has this problem, and poking through source, none of them look like they're doing anything special to get a taskbar icon (for instance, they don't seem to install one big icon and one small icon; it looks like qpe is just taking the normal icon and scaling it down, but it doesn't do that for my apps). Should I be symlinking my icons to somewhere else besides /opt/Qtopia/pics? Making a small icon and putting it somewhere? Doing something special when I create my icon? I'm making my pngs with gimp: tried both indexed and non, tried 28x28 and larger sizes (what is the right size? I haven't found any documentation at all on what qpe expects for its icons, but it seems to be pretty flexible except for this taskbar problem). I see this problem both on qt and java apps. Is there any documentation I've missed that describes things like this? BTW, my Z apps are at http://www.shallowsky.com/software/zaurus.html in case anyone wants to look and see what I'm doing wrong. ...Akkana ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf
