SL5000D and the OK button

I have recently received my 5000D (thanks Sharp folks!  : )  ) in the mail and 
have been trying to get a program to trap the "OK" button.  The code to trap 
it includes in the main widget:

accel = new QAccel(this);
accel->connectItem(accel->insertItem(accel->Key_Return),
				this,SLOT(okpressed()));

However, for whatever reason, the OK button causes the home menus to appear 
but only on the 5000D (on the 5500 it works fine).  The application doesn't 
appear to stop in this condition as the application icon is still in the 
bottom bar, but when clicked the application is restarted.

Any ideas?
