Can I politely point out to all the developers out there
that the 'old-time religion' of echoing the password on
the screen as '*' characters is totally inappropriate
on PDA's. The danger of someone besides the user
observing the characters on the screen is miniscule,
negligable when compared to all other potential security
problems. On the other hand, the difficulty of using
that small keyboard and/or on-screen entry makes positive
feedback that the right key was pressed ot tapped so
much more important.
