You can't use gcc 3.2 to compile for x86 with the Qtopia SDK as the libraries that come with it have been compiled with gcc 2.95 and are therefore not binary compatible. You have to find a copy of gcc 2.95 for your Linux distribution and when compiling ensure that you setup your environment variables so your PATH means gcc 2.95 is picked up before gcc 3.2.
