Roy,

I've found that the web forums are far more lively than the mailing lists. 
Even the openzaurus mailing lists are much lower volume than the 
http://www.zaurus.com/dev/board or http://www.zaurususergroup.com forums.

#zaurus and other zaurus related irc channels on irc.freenode.net are also 
a good place to drop by to chat :)
