That could well be true, however with all the USB devices out there, such as game controllers, digital cameras, printers, scanners, PDAs, etc., that we would have heard a tremendous outcry that would hit the tech web sites. So far, I have seen nothing. The USB specs are written for backward and forward compatability between 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0 devices; it is just the speed (lowest device in the chain) that will vary.
