When I try to flash my Zaurus, the lights flash and nothing is written. What's wrong?

Hello,
        I have a Sharp Zaurus 5500, and until now I have only installed Sharp 
official distributions (I did not have a CF)... it originally came with 2.37, 
i have installed 2.38 and then 3.10. Now I have a CF 128Mb and I want to 
install OpenZaurus...
        I formated my cf (mkfs.vfat -F 16 /dev/hda1) and the checked that it 
is fat 16 (fsck.vfat), I have downloaded zImage-5500-32memory-32storage.bin , 
and rename it to zImage, and the downloaded initrd.bin, i have copy the file 
in the root of my cf, i have checked the md5sum and it whas OK, and then I 
have fallowed the flash procedure (open the battery compartment lid, press C 
and D keys while pressing FULL RESET button).
        I am absolutely sure that I have do this thing right but the email and 
battery led are flashing, what is it wrong? Is it possible that the CF is not 
compatible? The CF is working OK I am using it in a Digital Camera and I have 
use it to store mp3 for Z and is working OK. 
        Please help me.
