I finally gave up on IMAP with the 3.1 email app.  I switched
to POP, and it works fine now (though I no longer have access
to any folders except my inbox).

Somebody really needs to write an IMAP client for the Z.  Maybe
I should just build a copy of mutt and run it in the terminal.
