Start-up very slow in Opie with CF card?

Hi,

I installed OpenZaurus and Opie on my SL-5500, and it works fine -- except
when I have a CF card installed.  Then, even when I've told it not to check
media each time, etc., it takes upwards of 30s to turn back on from a suspend.

Are there any fixes for this other than taking the CF card out?  (Most of my
junk is on it!)
