Just so you know what to expect with Linksys: I am on my second WCF12
card, and did have to jump through a few hoops to get an RMA, but
nothing like what you described.

First of all: Don't carry your Z in a soft case with the wireless card
still in the CF slot. I think mine began failing because it got bent
while I was walkig around with the Z in my coat pocket. Codrura over
plastic is not enough to protect something that sticks up out of the CF
slot.

Second, the frontline support tech at Linksys wasn't exactly sure about
the Zaurus either. However, I think this was partly because the WCF12
was pretty new at the time, and Linksys knew that there was a
configuration issue with the Z. They had a few notes for it, but not a
lot. I'd already gotten those from the website. Still, they said nothing
like "We don't support it."

What really concerned them was whether I had tried it in several
machines, including a PocketPC/WinCE machine. I'd already done that (and
proven the card was failing the card into a couple IPaqs at a local
store). They also wanted to make sure I had tried another WCF12 in the
Zaurus, so I had to tell them yes. Otherwise, I think they'd have wanted
to replace it with a WCF11. YMSV, though, since that was about a year
ago now.

The RMA cross-ship was easy. They sent a new WCF12 in retail packaging,
and wanted only the damaged card back. IIRC, though, I did have to pay
postage for the return.
