Well, I used rpm2tgz to create a Slackware package of one of the .rpms of Qtopiadesktop (forget which package). It's working so far. I mean, I can call up the app but I still have to see if I can get my Zaurus to talk to it.

If anyone uses Slackware and needs to use Qtopiadesktop, just use rpm2tgz to create your .tgz package.

I can see why they wouldn't allow their source (ala Nvidia, ATI) but if they don't allow source they should at least provide their products in a proper package (one for each major distribution), IMO.

I guess I can keep ssh'ing or FTPing into my Zaurus to back it up or attempt to rsync. I just don't see how they can cater to the Linux masses with just Suse, RH, and Mac packaging (doh...MacOS is remotely related to the BSDs...I guess I could give that a shot).
