Well, you could go to a web site such as
http://pgl.yoyo.org/http/browser-headers.php to sees what User-Agent is
sent (in my case it's "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Linux
2.4.6-rmk1-np2-embedix armv4l; 240x320) Opera 5.0 [en]"), then use some
sort of privacy proxy (such as junkbuster) to rewrite your headers to
pretend it's that browser.

Yep, that screen is pretty cool. Just tried the method; it works. If you
shorten the User-Agent to "Mozilla/4.0 (240x320)", you get an even
lower-graphic login screen, but other sites may not deal well with the
shortening. Just "(240x320)" produces an interesting screen too.

Sites that do browser sniffing? I'm not sure that's a good thing to
encourage. I think it would be better to have a separate URL for the
"small screen" variants, such as "http://hotmail.com/pda" (which doesn't
exist).
