Network sync to Mac OS X Qtopia Desktop possible?

I just noticed that TrollTech has made a 1.7.0 version of Qtopia 
Desktop available for OS X. So, I downloaded it and started playing. 
Plugged my wireless card into my SL-5600 (latest Sharp ROM flashed), 
noted its IP address, entered that into the QD prefs (for network 
sync). Nothing. I cleared the zaurus and root passwords. Still nothing. 
Edited /etc/inetd.conf to enable ftp; sent a SIGHUP to inetd. Still 
nothing. Played with the PC Link settings. Still no luck.

So, what's the magic incantation to get a network sync working between 
an SL-5600 and Qtopia Desktop?
