fu... off sharp ..!! Error, only error. A surface like Windows: sometimes it works, sometimes not. I get only errors while trying to install packages. I achived two weeks ago to install qpe somewho. The installe claimed always "Installation failed" (translated from that fu.... german compilation of Qtopia). Suddenly qpe appeared in the list of installable packages. Now I tried one hour again. What a waste of time! I can access my apache on my desktop in the Package installer network http by http://192.168.0.51:/home . I downloaded MboxReader_0.2.1_arm.ipk to this site on my desktop. But Z. doesn't find the package. A fu... message "Installation failed. damage!" appears, no more info like in Windows. Two weeks ago I transfered the qpe-package in spite of this message. Today it doesn't work with MboxReader. I would prefer installing by qpe-shell. I have a nfs-Connection to my desktop. Where can I copy MboxReader_0.2.1_arm.ipk on my Z. so that the Z-package manager recognizes the package? I tried to find the place of qpe-terminal_1.5.0-2_arm.ipk by using find / -name "qpe*" but this package seems to exist nowhere on Z. Has somebody experience how to install Software from a Linux desktop? I achieved connection by "installing via network" -> Server with URL: http://192.168.0.51:/home which is my /home/gerlach home directory, containing MboxReader_0.2.1_arm.ipk and a copy of it M.ipk (chmod 666 M*.ipk). Is there somewhere a tutorial of the file system structure of Z.? It would be very helpful. I don't like to touch that graphical install software ... thx Ekkard
