Exactly what do you think you are entitled to?  The Z can be used for 
mobile network access.  The requirement to enter ESSIDs and WEP keys 
is allocated to the human.  The Z does the hard part.

Some folks have posted scripts on http://zaurus.com/dev/board/ which 
use opie-sh to help switching between network setups.  Do the 
research.

Give the developers a break.
