The apps themselves seem quite nice.

Almost.

 1) Opie will sync with QTopia Desktop, but QTD has bugs in the
    timezone handling code, so calendar events are all shifted.
    I guess the developers of QTD all lived in the GMT
    timezone.

 2) There are reports that kitchensync will sync Opie PIM data
    to KDE PIM apps, but it sure didn't work for me (I lost 
    everything in my calendar -- partially because the "backup"
    funciton in QTD doesn't work).

 3) Multisync has plugins for both Opie and Evolution, but I've
    run into a couple minor problems there as well (which are
    being worked on).  

It looked to me like #3 is the best option at this point.

I probably won't have time to mess with it until after we move
into new offices at the end of the year.
