Using two PS/2 keyboards with one PS/2 keyboard port

Hi,

I have two desks<http://picasaweb.google.com/thomas.levine/ThomasLevineSBooksAndComputers>for
my personal computer. I'm currently using a PS/2 to USB adapter for
one
of the keyboards, but it doesn't work so well. Fixing this with software
looks annoying, so I'm wondering whether I can use a PS/2 splitter for this.
PS/2 splitters are allow a single PS/2 port on a laptop to be used for both
a mouse and a keyboard, but would it work for two different keyboards on a
desktop PS/2 port if I only use one keyboard at a time?

Thomas Levine!
