In the "war" to gain universal recognition for the Dvorak keyboard we have reached a "critical mass." Just as in Nuclear Fusion once the Uranium is enough to make the explosion all that is needed is something to ignite it. In Bombs that something is usually a smaller bomb. We have such a potential bomb in the fight to make Dvorak the International Standard. Thet potential bomb is what is happening in the case of "standardized tests" as posted in the post "Dvorak on the GRE." Why I say that it has the potential of a nuclear bomb is that as we all know or should know, Dvorak is built-in to every Windows Operating System and has been since Windows 3.1. So as soon as we get an igniter there can be almost instant and universal conversion of all Computers. (The problem of small B.S. appliances not withstanding). So then what is our igniter? A presidential decree or Congressional resoolution. And in the 2009 conversion to HDTV we have a precedent. To my knewledge outside of some automobile related legislation and presidential decrees nothing as comprehensive has ever been legislated in the U.S. (Remember Ronald Reagan's decree about the third tail-light on cars)? So what we have is a product that is about to explode at the right time to recue us from curtain financial ruin as a nation and if done right can play an important part in the "salvation" of our entire economic system. At such a point in time a slogan is needed to rally the forces. I have as a result of my last post come up with one that I think is pretty good. Please let me know what you think and add subtract or come up with your own. Here goes: "Dvorak users of the world unite: You gotta fight for your right to type right."
