Hi folks, I haven't posted much on here recently (or ever) but I did make the switch to Dvorak about three years ago. I posted some threads at that time, such as this one: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/altkeyboards/message/3007 Anyways, I was a fast Qwerty typist who could achieve scores around 130wpm (typingtest.com) and switched to Dvorak because I wanted to try to increase that speed, while also improving comfort, and giving me something to do. For the past year, I've frequented a competitive typing website (www.typeracer.com) where I've become one of the fastest on the site, with over 150,000 registered users. Currently, with the exception of a few bugs and cheaters, I have the single fastest speed ever achieved by any of those 150,000 users. (199wpm, 100% accuracy, where 5 characters = 1 word) I easily average above 140wpm now. Dvorak is partially to thank for all this :) The reason i'm posting here is because I'm very interested in the ongoing debate between Dvorak and Qwerty. If anyone else is interested in doing more investigation on this, I'd be happy to help. I have access to a lot of raw data that can be used for analysis (from typeracer.com ), I have a lot of personal experience with both layouts, and I am in contact with some of the fastest Qwerty typists from all over the world. Hope to share some altkeyboard experiences with you guys soon. thanks David
