Keyboard for people with pinky injuries

My friend injured his pinkies by playing piano incorrectly, so I'm
wondering if any keyboard [layout] has been designed to minimize pinky
movement. I think there are more significant changes he could make
than keyboard layout, of course, I'm curious about this concept.
