On a totally different topic... I've recently upgraded on my work computers. We are now running Parallels for Windows. One of my--and perhaps many of your--frustrations has been the use of remote desktop. No matter what your local keyboard it, it's lost on the remote side. Fortunately I've been able to have parallels re-map the command->control, control->windows, (alt stays alt). That helps. Doesn't help the other keys... But at least I'm not closing deleting, or locking at the wrong times anymore. Anybody with recent thoughts on RDC or VNC keyboard transference (I would pay for an RDC and or VNC client that honored my local settings). On another topic. I usually take care of the above problem with my Kinesis Contoured--hard wired keyboards solve a multitude of sins--but it remains rather large. I can't help notice that there is this http://www.trulyergonomic.com/ thing coming, but, if it actually gets made, it's only qwerty, with no Dvorak-Dealy switch. Nevertheless, it is an "Alt" keyboard, and I think the key placement looks very promising.
