RE: can bus end connectors & cable -- for ECU in vehicle

It depends a lot on the type of vehicle. In trucks and buses where you tend
to find a lot of integration of 3rd party stuff, I see a lot of COTS (TE)
AMP Timer/MCP connectors. They're bulky, but very solid and  easy to work
with from the perspective of a field engineer.

 

For regular cars, constructors tend to prefer proprietary connectors or at
least proprietary variants of existing connectors. In most European brands,
you'll find Tyco MQS connectors in some incarnation.
