Hello,

1: If you have two or more devices transmitting with same CAN-ID,
collisions outside arbitration field
exist and your system may work some time or may enter sooner or later
bus-off state.

2: CAN transmissions are monitored in two ways:
- Acknowledge indicates that at least one other device has received
transmission correctly
- Error frame indicates, that at least one other device has recognized an
error

=> Ack and no error means successful transmission.

=> If you need confirmation from the actual consumer, you neet take care
of such confirmation in
application layer. The best way for such is to use state machines in both
producer and consumer
and bidirectional signaling between them.

Best regards,

-H

Hi techies,

1. If i am using same CAN id in 2 different nodes. what will happen.?
Whether any error will occur or Tx will be in proper..?

2. How the acknowledgement works in CAN.? How the sender knows the
acknowledged frame from receiver.?
