Hello,
just to let you know, we had a demonstration of CAN FD at the CiA booth at the Embedded world. Connected were tools from different manufacturers, the PEAK PCAN-USB FD interface
a Spansion board and a Infineon TriCore board running the worlds first CANopenFD implementation done by emtas GmbH (and me).
That was the first successful test of the very new CANopen standard. At the fair, we saw not only interest of the automotive industry but already some industrial customers showed their interest in discussions with us.
Now we are all waiting for the final release of the ISO11898 standard. Besides available micro controllers, IP cores for FPGAs are available by 6 IP core providers. Time to start evaluation and product development.
