RE: Test message

Hi Kees,
It's not only the CAN List that has become silent.  Seems most lists are =
like that.  Google is your friend when it comes time to find both good =
and really bad information.  And when you don't know what you don't know =
it's hard to determine what is really bad.

Add to that the Linux groups have aggressive users who chastise anyone =
who asks a question that may have one good answer inside 1000 google =
reported really bad answers.  That makes people afraid to even ask on =
groups.  To be told they haven't looked when they don't understand what =
is a good answer is discouraging so they no longer ask.

I think too, as someone I believe said on this list many many years ago, =
 companies allow their employees to read this list but not provide any =
information that might teach a competitor something they don't know.  So =
good answers done in a friendly fashion are now also rare.

And there are so many other CAN lists.  Many with good information.

The days where we willingly helped people without worrying about who =
they were or whether they became richer appear to be gone.  Maybe I =
should be happy I'm retiring soon.
