Hi Geo

There are quite a few tools around
(Raz-lee's System Control to name one
https://razlee.com/isecurity-system-control/ )

I came up with a home-made simple utility making use of STRWCH built-in
function.
This utility monitors some 30 MSGs I deem important and sends SMS/email
whenever they occur.

try WRKWCH and see that IBM are using it also.

Drop me an email if you want to try your hand at it.

Gad
