James, More on QSYGETPH... I believe there are ways to flag a user profile to force whether or not to make MFA required by QSYGETPH. Apparently there is such a pervasive use of QSYGETPH that it could be disruptive. So there is a new function id, QIBM_RUN_UNDER_USER_NO_AUTH, which defaults to not forcing MFA on QSYGETPH but you add users here you want to force MFA on with QSYGETPH. There are ways to turn on security auditing to catch where this is occurring before you implement MFA. Confused? See if you get more or less confused by reading https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ssw_ibm_i_76/pdf/mfapdf.pdf On Fri, Jul 10, 2026 at 12:53 PM Rob Berendt <[email protected]> wrote: > Regarding QSYGETPH... > > https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.6.0?topic=methods-regfac-authentication-method > > See also optional parameter group 3 of QSYGETPH at > https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.6.0?topic=ssw_ibm_i_76/apis/QSYGETPH.html > >> >> -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: [email protected] To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: https://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: [email protected] Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at https://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
