I was assuming that handles would not be used, because the switches would have
to be "reset" if handles were used.

Yes, the proposed solution would require one way rotation, but I assume that
this would be simply done given the axle going through the switch.

I was merely providing a solution to the original problem as stated.  I'm not
saying it is a fabulous, or the best, but it does meet the requirement of two
three way switches.

I have not come up with a good pneumatic solution yet, but I'm thinking about
it!
