Thanks Eric, I appretiate the reply. I have seen a few posts here and
there that I find personally irrelevant - and mreely pass them by. I
have also occasionally been attacked by posters. In my case it has
been "Lego Evangelists" - I, like many robot builders have used Lego
merely as a store of gears, wheels and chassis parts, while using
really serious controller and electronics hardware on there, and that
really annoys them, but I agree "whateva" - I will do what I like with
my Lego. Although I wince a little when I hear about people drilling
holes in bricks, and slicing to get 1/4 length bushes, its their Lego.
Its cool to offer a friendly all Lego alternative, but not to dive in
a have a go at someone.

Cool - I really look forward to helping you along with that, I have a
few programming and robot projects of my own I am in the middle of, as
well as writting a major philosophical document, and the ongoing
process of translating parts of OR to chinese.. But I am sure i can
find bits and bobs in all that to ask you to try snippets of code or
concepts on Jama. Do you know NQC or BrickOS? I would really love to
see if an example of subsumption architecture, as I mentioned, could
be made to work in an all Lego environment. I feel it is a worthwhile
study.

I have generally found I liked it. I was a little disheartened by the
lack of any interest in my only ever .mecha moc post so far, but maybe
it really wasnt that great, I had fun building it though.

Yes, and it makes sense. I love the tech, I love the constructive
criticism, or total praise. Like I said, flamewars are for slashdot
(no offence to other slashdotters here).

Cool.. I have some very strange, yet powerful thoughts in my head of a
large hexapod mecha, motorised, with similar scale and design
techniques as Jama. With multiple on board controllers, and some cool
intelligence... All in pure Lego. I think I may build it when i find
the time..
