Indeed, even an electromechanical relay will play castanets! Something like this http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=Z921-ND should be fine and easy to use (screw terminals). You may need to screw it on some power dissipator to limit heat... Philo
