Hi. New to the list here. I'm running on Gentoo and was trying to move from the 4.9.34 kernel to 4.12.5. This of course means the move from lirc_serial to serial_ir. I seem to be running into the same issue described here: https://sourceforge.net/p/lirc/mailman/message/35926194/ That is, the /dev/lirc0 device seems to be working fine and mode2 seems to indicate that my driver configuration (default driver) is correct, however I get nothing with irw. I reverted the change that was supposed to be the issue, that is, this one: https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/9585613/ ...and that doesn't seem to fix it. I also tried patching with a change I've seen many places where the resolution was intended to return milliseconds, where that LIRC_GET_REC_RESOLUTION returns: val = dev->rx_resolution / 1000; That didn't help either. Everything appears fine but I get nothing from irw or in any applications (mythtv specifically). Any idea what might be going on? Thanks!
