That's really not the situation. As for ir kernel drivers all development is done in the kernel community these days. > Any hints welcome but the basic ati_remote driver from kernel pushes me > into using an ancient lircd with an ancient kernel (as it works fine there) Around 0.9.0 (~2011) when the lirc kernel drivers were upstreamed some of the former lirc drivers were made part of the kernel staging drivers. IIRC, the kernel atiusb driver was dropped at some later point. Perhaps the best you could do is to grab the latest atiusb driver from the staging drivers and update to the new kernel framework, dunno Cheers! --alec ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot
