I watched the video and will say that looks like a very useful tool,
especially for the group of users I described. Any specific reason you
never tidy'ed it up and offered it to the world? You might want to
give it a thought!

I gave that a look as well - it's a different tool from yours however.
Unless I missed something it seems all it does is provide irsend and
nothing else. That's useful as well but I suspect for narrower
audience.

CEC is interesting but I've found surprisingly a lot of devices don't
actually support it or don't have it implemented correctly. You'd
think it would be standard but I guess it's still new enough that
that's not the case. I've been thinking about buying the Pulse Eight
usb CEC device but haven't found it at a decent price. It's simply not
something I'm willing to pay $40-50 for when I can accomplish the same
thing with an extra keypress or two on my <$10 remote. And in their
price range I can just pay less for an Raspberry Pi, Pine64, or
something like those with CEC built-in. That's a discussion for a
different thread however.
