I found this post very informative. I am trying to send ir command using my HP mce receiver and remote HP ovu400103/00 - IR Receiver (has the ability to send IR codes with a extra IR sender on a plug in wire which I have) HP 5069-8344 - mce remote running Ubuntu 17.10 it is working out of the box with devinput, in the directory /etc/lirc/lircd.conf.d the only files as are: devinput.lircd.conf README.conf.d it seems like I may not have the default driver, how would I install and use the default driver instead? I currently use my MCE remote to control KODI (tv watching app) and it works great! all the buttons work! I simply changed a couple keys in the /etc/rc_keymaps/rc6_mce file What I am wanting to do now is bind a few keys so that I can power on/off my stereo receiver, and also control its volume using the MCE remote, this way I would only need one single remote instead of having to juggle two when I watch tv/movies. -- Sent from: http://lirc.10951.n7.nabble.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot
