You probably want to wake up from the USB connection. I an not an expert, but AFAIK for a USB device to generate a USB wakeup is not completely trivial. For example, keyboards and mice can, most other devices cannot. If using an Arduino, it is probably a good idea to use a Leonardo or a Micro, since these have the CPU connected directly to the USB port, while others use a dedicated chip (FTDI or CH340 or other) for the USB connection, emulating a serial port. For example the latter two can emulate a USB keyboard, while the others cannot. Another solution would be to use an Arduino with an Ethernet interface, sending a WOL (wake up on LAN) packet to the PC. If you come up with a solution, by all means, let us know. Greetz, Bengt
