Sorry, this is not sufficiently concrete for me to give advice. There are tons guides on the internet on how to set up the hardware. Also the RPi forum is rather helpful. Note that you can use IrScrutinizer on the RPi accessing the /dev/lirc device (provided that it is working...), as well as the mode2 program. My TODO-list contains making a guide (or video) on this. That is a very good idea :-). Ypou can use it both with IrScrutinizer and Lirc. Having a Linux computer to generate the carrier in hardware (like it is done in the standard lirc_rpi driver) is like using a microscope to hammer in nails, IMHO... Greetz, Bengt
