CLI tool for IR blasting using multiple Arduino Nanos running GIRS?

Dear list,

I realise that this is the LIRC list, so if the answer to my question is
"use LIRC" then fair enough.

Still: I would like to avoid using LIRC for what I consider to be a very
simple task: I have several Arduino Nanos running GIRS firmware, and I
need a CLI tool for sending IR sequences to set-top boxes. I have used
IrScrutiniser to learn the IR remote signals that need to be sent.

In my view LIRC is rather a convoluted piece of software that is hard to
configure and that has proved to be fragile over the many years that I
have used it (both for receiving and for blasting), so for this project
I am exploring whether there are alternatives.

Again, if there are no alternatives then fair enough.
