Attention: Nitpicking

Hello,

please bear with me, but checking for trailing whitespace and DOS line
endings give hits in recent commits. e,g :
nut> git log --check

I don't want to bring up the discussion about the central repository as SVN
versus GIT again, as I am totally content with the central SVN repo.

But I can tell that the git svn workflow helps to avoid such things and I
want to recommend the git svn workflow to other users.
