I think not being able to simulate code for a given processor is a large 
hurdle for pic development in Linux.  gputils works great for creating 
binaries and picp works great with my Warp-13, but both become 
irrelevant if I have no way to simulate the code.  I wouldn't mind 
trying to take the dive and add the functionality to support a broader 
range of processors but was wondering if anyone could point me in the 
right direction to get started.  I began looking into this before but 
couldn't find any documentation or generic overview of what it would 
take to add a new chip.  Chapter 11 of 
http://www.dattalo.com/gnupic/gpsim.pdf does a very brief conceptual 
intro, but is there anything out there that goes a little further in 
depth?  Thanks for any help in getting started.
