After looking through all of the kde packages late last night I came to the same conclusion. So I installed kde-devel, and 50 Meg of its dependices, and waala... configure works! Ran the make overnight and installed this AM. Was about to check it out when the mail came in. Now to see if it works on this minimun KDE install.
