Despite the error message I think the binary is correctly dumped to the 18F4550. Maybe it is a false alarm. By the way, I have ported it to Windows using mingw and libusb-win32. For those who are interested (maybe not so many in this list), please download the Win32 port at the following URL. http://forum.microchip.com/tm.asp?m=106426. I even want to port it to Windows using libusb-win32 (still not successful yet). However I just find out out that it is actually not working on my Ubuntu box. What could be the problem? usb_pickit is working for PICkit 1.
