RE: [PIC] Pickit 2 firmware available from the shipped C D

My first test shows that PICkit 2 is really fast compare to
PICkit 1 for a 12F629 device. Right now the device support
is not that great but it does support the new 8/14/20/28 pin
standard flash parts Microchip will promote.

With the schematics, firmware source code and PC host software 
source code, I think PICKit 2 will be quite hackable on the 
software side. On the hardware side, the original PICkit 2 is
too small to hack but a clone is not so difficult to build as 
well. :)

I just opened the PICkit 2. It is quite easy to open 
as well. So hacking the PICKit 2 even on the hardware side
may after all be possible. Of course with the cover it
looks nicer. :) The first thing I do is to add a ICSP
pin header on J1 for ICSP so that I can reflash the firmware
code (using an ICD2 or Promate 3) even if I screwed up the 
bootloader. Right now we identify a small problem in the
firmware side which will prevent it from working with 
hacked version of usb_pickit.

Hopefully I can get it working on Linux as soon as possible.
