Sure.

First off Google is a great resource. Let's try "PIC 7-segment display schematic"
The 2nd link leads here:

It has the source code too. While it does have all of the frequency counter
stuff, the display code of interest is there too.

The project you propose above is only slightly more complicated than the
typical blink an LED. I'd take a look for those. Be sure to check out

The only "problem" is that his code is in JAL. JAL is a cool language but
its usage isn't so widespread that you can easily get support.
