Thanks for that.

If you look at pic18forth, you'll see that it can be configured for
anything from single wheel wheelbarrow to large air-conditioned tractor.

I hear your concerns about simplicity. But there are situations where
on-pic software needs a lot of functionality- eg LCD-based user
interfaces, host serial links, controlling other pics etc.
