Hi wayne, I could not repeat your problem on Ubuntu Linux 5.04. Both "./xwisp2u HELP" and "./xwisp2u help" work for me. The yellow color is a bit difficult to see on a white background GNOME terminal though. Change to black background and it will easier to read. What is your Linux version? Regards, Xiaofan mcuee@ubuntu:~/Desktop/build/XWISP2170$ uname -a Linux ubuntu 2.6.12-7-k7 #1 Fri Aug 19 13:46:31 UTC 2005 i686 GNU/Linux PS: I was hitting by the bugs detailed here: http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-696.html or http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-27709.html Scenario: after synaptic smart update, this error message pops up when starting: Uncompressing Linux...Ok booting kernal. Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block (0,0). Now my 2.6.10 kernel died after the "smart" update provide by Synaptic. Luckily I still have the 2.6.12 Breezy kernel working (I installed that for PICDEM FS USB CDC demo code). I will turn off all kernel update after this incident! Any people here know the solution to this bug? Thanks.
