Don't have any directly applicable experience, but at the Space lab where I
worked the optics guys had software that they used to calculate lenses, and
from data supplied by the lens manufacturer could predict what sort of
internal reflections within the lens system they would get. I imagine some
sort of similar system would do what you want.

Unfortunately I have no details of the software they were using, but it may
give you an idea of what to look for. I believe it used ray tracing methods.
