I have used cheap Chinese cameras exclusively. The problem is
incompatible variety. When I standardized on ONVIF with POE things got
much better. I only have a couple with PTZ and they seem to work okay. I
have not bought any in 2 or 3 years. Another problem is that the brands
change fast so if you find one you like buy more quickly because they
may not be available next month or next year. Most of mine are from a
company called Techage. I don't know if they still exist.
