It's doable. But you need to share more details about the characteristics of the pumps and generators. Don't be surprised if it fails to run when less than 50% of the full required input power of the motor is available from the generator. My recollection is that efficiency suffers greatly below full output power. Are you really able to buy usable >1kW DC motor pumps "cheaply"? (I suppose many things are available overseas if you speak the language) You may need a battery or significant capacitance to get the motor spinning initially in low power regions of operation. You may need to run it 1 minute "on" at 100% power and 9 minutes off at 0% power to actually achieve what you are looking to do at low power levels. When I looked at doing something similar I concluded that having "10 small motors/pumps" in parallel was better than having "1 big motor/pump" with regards to being able to run at low power efficiently. Sounds like a fun project Regards
