Interesting project! I think that the slave actuators will be getting a
PWM signal as they are pulsed on when the slave actuator is behind the
master actuator and off when it has caught up. The FET drive is an
interesting issue. A way around that is to use an opto coupled FET SSR
like https://omronfs.omron.com/en_US/ecb/products/pdf/en-g3vm_ay_dy.pdf .
I'm impressed that one of these can handle 2A at 40 V.
